The article focuses on academic presentations created with the help of multimedia programmes. They are regarded as a special form of new knowledge transfer. The way of transfer depends on many extra-linguistic factors, including the audience type, its professional status. Visualization of information for non-professionals may become the most suitable means of knowledge transfer. We believe that it can be accounted for the peculiarities of information perception by the modern generation due to information technology progress.
