Global language: The language of reconciliation or the language of enslavement? (OPEN ACCESS)

Abstract

Communication as one of the most important human activities is becoming increasingly important in the modern information society, because it largely determines the vector of the social development of the society. Researchers have noted that people devoted 75% of their free from sleep time to communication. At present, in the era of globalization, the problem of social communication is becoming more and more urgent. One of the challenges facing communication, inclu- ding social communication, is to overcome the language barrier. Attempts of the mankind to create one-global-language go back to the ancient times. Currently, it is the English language that claims to take the place of the global language, and there are objective and subjective reasons for this.
