Abstract

The article deals with anthroponymic text as a special text type, its pragmatic and some other features. First, we briefly consider the history of the term and its interpretation by the Russian historical onomastician Leonid M. Ščetinin in the 1980s (texts which are comprised of homogeneous anthroponymic components, i.e. various lists of personal names) and text typologization according to the ontological status (documentary vs fictional), as well as the referential status of anthroponyms mentioned in the text (embodied vs disembodied proper names). Second, we introduce the notion of anthroponymic microtext as a fictional text fragment, which contains the rhetorical device called enumeratio (lat.). By referring to examples of poetic texts, the suggestive mechanism of enumeratio is demonstrated. Third, we review name-dropping as a kind of anthroponymic microtext and the key to individual poetics (I. Brodsky). When forming the micro- and macroonomastic space of a text, this technique merges with intertextuality.
