Metaphor as a tool for detection of an implicit determination of the self

Abstract

The article presents the results of an empirical study devoted to the detection of an implicit determination of the self using the tools of metaphor analysis and carried out in the context of constructivism and person-centered approach. In particular, it is presenting a developed technique and algorithm of working with a text, different procedures of extracting metaphors, assembling and categorizing rows of metaphors, which then become the subject of metaphor analysis.
