Abstract

This paper aims to critically analyze three basic books, which lay the foundation for the modern Nationalism studies, defining the field in our days. Given the three exemplary works, it is to be demonstrated the main paradigm shift in the field of nation and nationalism studies, which defined the main research question and methods towards the end of the 20th – the beginning of the 21st century.
