Heterotopia as a versatile art space: Author-hero in the changing society (OPEN ACCESS)

Abstract

The paper traces the evolution of works authored by the American writer Paul Auster, from his memoirs prose to the social and realistic line in the novel «4 3 2 1» published in January, 2017. The paper discusses three main steps of genre transformation in the writer’s prose (modernism > a postmodernism > social realism / post-postmodernism).
