The paper analyzes features of the ontological aspect of Martin Heidegger’s philosophy and Dasein. Heidegger’s reference to the ideal of Dasein was a logical continuation of his spiritual and philosophical research. Heidegger’s humanistic character manifests itself in his recognition of the ontological values standing above egotistical interests of the individual and group. The article describes the nature of Dasein and Heidegger’s philosophy. The article analyses the genesis of the Dasein principle as the methodological basis of Heidegger’s philosophy, as the main principle that is not limited by the ontological aspect. The paper also highlights the need for radical rethinking of the values lying at the core of modern civilization.
