The paper considers the axiogenic situations of the global culture wars in the contemporary media discourse. Examining articles from Russian and English media discourses, the paper investigates language globalization processes focusing on the macroecology of language. The gravitational model of languages is used in the paper as an interpretational instrument to analyze the axiological paradigm shift in the media in the post-globalization context of the culture wars according to the ecological linguistic problems of languages’ existence, development, and relevance.
