Abstract

«A guide to the book by Irina Odoevtseva" On the banks of the Neva "» – a rich source of information about the cultural life of the early XX century, research based on the study of memoirs, letters, contemporary analytical works. Comments by O.A. Lekmanov help not only to understand where in the book of I. Odoevtseva «fiction», where «memory errors or deliberate exaggeration» [Lekmanov, 2020, p. 4], but also to determine the reasons for the hidden and explicit play with facts.
