Abstract

The concept of space is considered in the paper in a semiotic aspect. Semiotized spaces are formed in culture, when meaningful spatial relations are selected and interpreted by the norms of various codes. These spaces are anthropomorphic, have different types of autonomy and can be separated from each other. At the same time, they enter into diverse structural and functional connections, forming semiotically heterogeneous complexes.
