Abstract

The article considers the views of prominent Italian philosophers, including L. Allodi, G. Colombo, A. Fabris, C. Giuliodori, P. Ricci Sindoni, on the material and spiritual role of food in the context of world monotheistic religions, the contemporary stage of social development and the task to feed the planet providing it with energy for life.
