This article describes the most important directions of scientific researching and publishing activities in the Department of literary criticism since its foundation in 1973 within the Institute of Scientific Information for Social Sciences. The main editions prepared by Department’s researchers are systematically represented here. Different parts of the article introduce main thematic directions of the Department’s longstanding work: world literary criticism investigations, Russian exile’s literature researches (started there almost earliest of all in Russia, since 1992), studies on actual literary states and dynamics in different counrties and languages in Europe and USA, including literatures of German and French languages. The text is crowned with the long list of editions (collected works of Russian writers, philosofers and philologists) published by the Department’s researchers under the sign of the Institute of Scientific Information for Social Sciences.
