The paper focuses on the linguistic aspects of the migration process in modern Europe. Nine linguistic situations governed by the migration process are being analyzed in a hypothetical way. The author describes the studied situations on the grounds of historical and modern facts. Great concern is expressed about the future of the national European languages and the necessity to intensify the linguistic ecological work to preserve these languages.
