The formation of the semiotic language of theatrical traditions of India and Nepal is actively discussed among national art critics. Taking into account the spatial interaction of these neighboring countries, the article focuses not on the priority rights historically assigned to India, but on the identification of independent directions in the development of indigenous traditions in Nepal. The paper considers the communicative transformation of theatrical performances, which used to be common in India and then found a new incarnation on the stages of Nepal.
