Post-apocalyptic in Movies by George Romero (OPEN ACCESS)

Abstract

The article is devoted to the «king of movies about the zombies» George Romero and a phenomenon of «zombie apocalypse». The idea of «zombie» in modern mass culture is analyzed. The conclusion is drawn that the explanation of popularity of the zombie is a reaction to comprehensive disbelief and nihilism of our time.
